I did do a few things:
1) I got to have a look at my apartment. It is on the 7th floor and it is HUGE...3 bedrooms (2 of them very large), 2 bathrooms (1 with a western-type toilet...), 1 office with a beautiful built-in desk, super huge living room with balcony and beautiful ceiling, a dinin
2) I have seen and gotten together with a few more junior counselors from last year's camp. It's been really nice! So many cool stories I could tell you about that...
3) I went to a massage therapist...a blind massage therapist. Aaaaah...a massage is a whole different experience when you see a spider coming down and you don't know the language and you can't point because the therapist is blind. I lived through it and in fact...it was quite nice. A 1 hour massage for $1...not too bad at all! (Picture: people gathered for funeral ceremony)
4) I got a bank account. Apparently I am the first person in this town to ever get a bank account with an English name. At first I was told that I needed a Chinese name (characters) or else they couldn't set up the account. But, people are still working on getting me a Chinese name so this teller was either going to have to make up a Chinese name for me on the spot or use my English name. He ended up figuring out how to use my English name... Funny how both people in China and Canada have a hard time with my name...
5) I planted some of my lettuce seeds and I CANNOT wait till it ready to eat! So...that may seem weird to you but you don't know what you got till it's gone (salad).
